Happy Autumn and Happy Spring, wherever you are! I’m going to write out my September Equinox gratitude list tonight, adding a smaller list of things I should let go of.
This is a magical time of year to do this in the light of a flickereing candle, reflecting on how much there is to be grateful for amid the prevailing sense of uncertainty and loss of recent days.
Autumn used to be my favourite season (now it’s spring, not sure why, maybe it’s connected with getting older) but I still adore the September/October shift of seasons: being able to wear boots and throw a fleece blanket across the bed, close the windows and bask in a diffusion of grounding essential oils.
Pine, frankincense, cedarwood or juniper, perhaps? And summery geranium or bergamot are both nerve-soothers too, grounding in a different way.
Or the lovely anticipation of a new candle you’re been wanting to light on the first distinctly darker, cooler evening since summer started to step away…
Speaking of the new season, time has flown already!
I realised this morning that there are just 12 business days until ENTRIES FOR THE 2023 BEAUTY SHORTLIST AWARDS close – on Friday 7 October (samples deadline: 14th).
A lot of new brands are entering this year, so I’ll probably post some of the main FAQs in a few days’ time, to help those entering for the first time.
If you’d like to nominate your brand for 2 March 2023, you can click here to enter
The entry fee remains exactly the same as in previous years.
These awards are not only beauty-centric, they celebrate the genuine stand-outs in grooming, natural health (including CBD), self-care, nootropics and much more. So if you are taking part, lots of luck for 2023!
I’m so looking forward to sharing some of the gems I personally have already found during the judging process, it’s a bit of a wait until Thursday 2 March but it will be worth it. (Always arrives fast, though, once we hit January 1st).
I wish you a HAPPY AUTUMN OR SPRING depending on where you’re reading this, and may the rest of this year bring you good things, possibilities and people, perhaps a new friend or project, and let’s all remember to get outside into daylight as much as we can, and stay close to Nature.
She’s the best (free) health tonic there is.
Happy Equinox!
