It’s time to ramp up our immune system when the seasons change, and a big part of how good we feel and how well we get through the colder months is how good our gut is (in very simple terms).
And incorporating “health bodyguards” into your life at this time of year is an intelligent move: think probiotics, wellbeing teas, sleep-better, stress-melting bath soaks, even something as simple as a daily dose of ACV (if you’re not crazy about the taste, add a little agave syrup or honey – I drink it in honey and lemon in the winter).
After summer’s slow, flowy, lazier days, autumn has a habit of catching us off-guard. Suddenly it’s back to school, back to work, back to a more full-on schedule but as the evenings draw in gently (the sun sets earlier by about 2 minutes every evening now), this is wonderful season for learning something new. (I’m studying Sufism and herbalism – particularly herbal teas).
With our 2020 BEAUTY SHORTLIST AWARDS and 2020 BEAUTY SHORTLIST WELLBEING AWARDS now open for entries (ENTRY FORM & DETAILS HERE) here’s a look at some of our first ever Wellbeing Awards winners from back in March 2019, earlier this year.

THE PRODUCTS
TOP ROW – Left to Right
Bach Remedies Rescue Night Spray
Collagen Shots Protein Smoothies (for more flexible, comfortable joints and help build joint cartilage – and better skin!)
Weleda Arnica Muscle Bath Soak
MIDDLE ROW
Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (the mother is very important, don’t buy ACV without it!)
BetterYou Magnesium Foot and Body Soak (Flakes)
Dr Jackson’s Detox Tea
Australian Bush Flower Essences “Woman” (balancing, helps inspire a sense of positivity and wellbeing, good for mood swings during your period or menopause)
BOTTOM ROW
Microbz Bio-Live Gold (a great product that covers a lot of bases) this is a fermented “living liquid” containing 50 juices, herbs and minerals with 14 bacterial strains and it doesn’t require refrigeration so technically you could keep it at work.
Symprove is another gut-enhancing winner, this time water-based and backed by science. Take 70ml every morning before breakfast (make sure you wait 10 mins before you eat or drink anything).
Mayella Alkalise Green & Go. I have to say if I had to choose ONE health supplement to take for the rest of my life it might well be supergreens. I swear by them and have taken good formulas for decades. (I’m also taking chlorophyll tablets which have boosted my stamina – not so much my energy, but my overall stamina, to be more specific – it’s like your batteries just last longer!) Australian brand Mayella scored well with the judges. Highly recommended.
