Can an SPF be all natural? Edelweiss grows at very high altitudes in the Alps (the Greeks called it “lion foot of the Alps” or “Queen’s flower”. The hardy little white flowers possess a mini treasure trove of skin-friendly natural actives including chlorogenic acid, luteolin, bisabolane derivatives, and beta sitosterol – its anti-ageing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties have made it a hit with northern European beauty brands, most notably Swiss, Austrian and German. Taken internally, it can help dysentry and diarrhea among other things, which gave it its German nickname of “stomache ache flower”.
Texture-wise, this cream isn’t at all greasy or glossy, so if you normally go for a no-sweat, ultra-matte cream, this is one.
