Ogario’s “shake hair awake” Jet Set (set?). £26.50. Ogario’s incredible lemongrass-scented hair mask was a winner in our first ever awards in 2012 and the brand made the top three again this March.
These products are like a lush, hydrating, shine-brighter drink for hair. All three are designed to inject your locks with extra gloss and if you like a natural hair product which performs well and smells beautifully “botanical” (not in herbal medicinal way) and you have dry to normal hair, this little jet away set will be going on holiday with you.
La Sultane de Saba Orange Blossom Body Oil £30
We’re not sure where Saba is…but we are convinced this slinky sink-in elixir is one of the most decadent body oils we’ve ever had the fortune of slathering all over not-ready-for-summer-yet bodies. What’s interesting about it is that it’s a combo of carrot and prickly pear oils, perfumed with orange blossom. Prickly pear is nipping at the heels of argan oil at the moment as the “new” up-and-coming skin superstar, even though its been around for ages (it’s more expensive than argan).
Feels gorgeous, looks gorgeous, smells of Moroccan orange blossom…L-O-V-E!
Technically, prickly pear (also called barbary fig or cactus seed oil, from Morocco) is extremely nutrient-rich for skin. You might think this looks a rich, dense oil, we were expecting it to be quite thick, leaving a film of oil on skin, but it’s not – making it another reason we loved it. Definitely one of this summer’s super-oils, and its gorgeous liquid orange shade will make your tan look even more golden and glowy.

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturizer
SPF15 £30
(7 shades, Porcelain 00 to Bronze 05)
Clarins have just launched their new SPF15 (up from 6) HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser with an even better formula including HA (hyaluronic acid) which is one of the best things you could ask for in a skincare formula as it’s a brilliant moisture-retainer and helps keep skin feeling hydrated.
What’s different?
Debenhams* say: “This one offers continuous hydration and brightens the complexion with a sheer, natural-looking colour and satin finish. The new hyaluronic acid complex and katafray bark extract work together to leave your skin soft, supple and smooth.”
How does it feel on/coverage factor?
Extremely light, and it’s quite a fluid, rather than creamy, texture, with nice coverage. It’s definitely a tint, not a cover-up. Perfect for now, when heavier foundations start not to feel right and we’re all craving a touch of sun-kissed skin. If you love sheer-with-a-tint, this ticks a lot of boxes and you get the HA performance factor in there, too.
At DEBENHAMS
*We love Debenhams’ “try before you buy” exclusives which they’ve started doing across various products, including fragrance – brilliant idea. You buy the full size and you get a mini sample. If the shade, for example, isn’t right for you, you can return it.
