Ciate are back with a wonderfoil idea for spring, launched exclusively at Selfridges.
They’ve come up with 3 new limited edition Very Colourfoil Manicure Kits (£18 each): Carnival Couture, Wonderland and Kaleidoscope Klash, a surefire way to blow the winter blues away without smashing the piggy bank and switch into spring beauty mode (erm…we’ll just have to ignore the snow forecast for this weekend and remind ourselves that the clocks “spring forward” on 31 March.)
How do these work? There’s a video on the Selfridges website that shows how but to break it down quickly, simply:
1) Apply 2 coats of your base Ciate colour polish and make sure the polish completely dry.
2) Dot the foil fix glue where you want the foil to show.
3) Wait a minute for the glue to become clear then place the foil on your nail, shiny side up, press firmly and allow to “set”.
4) Strip away the foil quickly, leaving your foil “splashes” on nails where the foil has stuck to the glue.
Layer multi-coloured foils or you can go for a more streamlined “mono foil” look, using just one foil colour.
