Need a new handcream? Abahna London’s White Grapefruit & May Chang (£8) won Best Hand Cream in both last year’s and this year’s Awards (this year it tied with REN’s Citrus Prebiotic Limonium Hand Cream) and if you like uplifting grapefruit/sweet lemony “Mediterranean” scents this will really hit the spot! Cocoa and shea-butter based, it contains artemisia which is a natural antibacterial (we should point out that all you can smell are the delicious citrussy natural essential oils, there’s nothing remotely “antibacterial” about the scent!)
Also lovely is their Lilac Rose with Moroccan Geranium, a very pretty English summer garden style scent with nerve-soothing Moroccan geranium while Frangipani & Orange Blossom is a vibrant, much more heady and distinctly un-British exotic scent that will remind you of warm summer breezes on faraway isles.
Heading back to Europe again, the Mandarin & Sicilian Bergamot is very spring-in-Italy, like a gentle tangerine with a sophisticated zest to it, light and fresh for spring and summer.
…and they do candles! If you haven’t tried their candles yet, their £10 Travel Candles are the perfect size for tea lights, so when the wax has melted down to the very last flicker, you can pop a tea light in to show off the frosted glass holder speckled in gold with four beautiful and different Abahna designs.

If we were beauty buyers we’d have pounced on this brand long ago. A perfect fit for M&S’s new Your Beauty or John Lewis? The signature blends really do live up to the packaging (think gold-embossed thick, creatively-designed vibrantly-printed boxes and gift bags…and gold-flecked frosted glass candle holders and etched glass perfume flacons, etc.) If you’re a NEOM Organics or Jo Malone fan, this is definitely a brand to dip into!
