There is a real rose named Evelyn Rose, cultivated by English rose expert David Austin for Crabtree & Evelyn’s pretty new range. Powder pink, the rose is a stunner, so luxuriously full and feminine (Google it!) that with a few more petals you could almost mistake it for a peony and it took eight years and 30,000 seedlings to create it.
At the heart of the Evelyn Rose bath, body and fragrance collection is the Evelyn Rose EDP. The almost antique gold satin metallised bottle with gold cartouche finishing is a stunning and really original departure from most perfume bottles – but it’s the way this fragrance is made that is also intriguing. Using innovative technology, scent molecules are extracted directly from each petal, so it really captures the scent of the rose in full bloom and no parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or propylene glycol are used.
Is it too early to mention the December holidays? OK (whispering) let’s just say the Evelyn Rose collection could be making its way down lots of chimneys and into lots of Christmas stockings…
