Once upon a time, in 1916, a small perfumier in Parma created a completely unique Colonia. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the heavier, more Germanic men’s fragrances of the day, but as the years went by and new scents splashed their way into the perfume market, competition grew fiercer and fiercer.
Fortunately, in 1993 three Italian entrepreneurs with a nose for beautiful brands (the President of Ferrari, the owner of Tod’s, and a shareholder of the La Perla Group) joined forces to launch their new venture and “Acqua di Parma s.r.l.” was born.
With the brand’s future safely secured, the first shop opened in Milan in 1998. The rest, as they say, is Italian perfume history and if you want summer to last longer, this will do the trick.
