As you probably know, The Beauty Shortlist is a totally “non-profit” blog – although this will be changing soon because as all you fabulous bloggers know, it’s a fantastic way to “share” but incredibly time-consuming. We’ve had such an amazing year so far, so before we start “monetizing” The Beauty Shortlist – more on that soon – we wanted to do something to “give back”.
I was in touch with GOSH about our 10p Twitter follow fundraiser idea for Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be giving 10p to GOSH for every NEW person or organisation that follows @BeautyShortlist STARTING 9am SUNDAY 3 JUNE – ends midnight on 30 JUNE 2012.
GOSH opened its doors at 49 Great Ormond Street, London W1 on Valentine’s Day in 1852 with just 10 beds. 160 years later its brilliant staff continue to give love and exceptional medical care to the children who really do need to be there.
As that big supermarket brand says, “Every Little Helps” and all YOU have to do is follow us on Twitter in June (you don’t have to donate anything) so that all those 10p’s add up! So the more people you tell, who follow us, the more we’ll give. We’ll announce the total raised in early July. Oh and if you want to donate as well directly to GOSH, or if there are any VIPs/celebrities out there who want to match £ for £ what we raise….you know where we are and we – and GOSH – would love to hear from you. Thank you!
