Well here’s something new and different from great British Brand Pai Skincare who’ve been gathering so many awards recently they’ll need a spare room in their offices soon, to put them all in.
Pai’s latest launch is this extraordinarily gentle, nourishing exfoliating silky gel (fab for sensitive and also acne-prone skin). It smells good because of the sweet lemony/orangey scent of May Chang Oil, Apricot Oil, Orange Fruit Water with Avocado, Frankincense, Sunflower and Safflower Oils in there, too.
You…1) Massage it into dry skin, avoiding the eyes. 2) Moisten fingertips and massage again, it turns into a lovely silky milk and washes away. 3) Result? Visibly brighter, smoother skin – the mini spherical Jojoba Beads have done their work!
After an unexpected sandblasting experience about ten years ago, I’ve been very wary of exfoliators. I believe we tend to over-strip our skins, damaging the natural balance/acid mantle/’good’ bacteria and PH balance and that we’ve been “sold” so many different cleansers, moisturisers, etc. that our skincare has become a bit too complex. “Less is more” is a good motto for skincare in 2012.
And Kukui? It’s our latest love at The Beauty Shortlist, we’ve gone totally kukui over it, in fact a trip to Hawaii for two weeks to find out more about it is on our (wish) list. Pai’s Kukui Oil comes from the nuts of the Hawaiian Kukui Tree and contains Vitamins A, E and F, blended with Omega 3 & 6 so skin will drink it in. Brilliant for skin that needs healing, calming or is psoriasis/eczema-prone!
