Ahem! I found out about this range a couple of months ago, tested the Baby Wash & Shampoo and have to admit (with no tiny tots in the house to test it on) I’ve gone a bit gaga over it. (I’m still using it as a handwash!) It has a delicate geranium scent (with a hint of rosemary) and feels incredibly gentle, and “clean”.
For the mums reading this, John Lewis now stock Pure Beginnings – it’s a vegan-friendly skincare range (there are five ultra-pure pH-balanced products in the range: Baby Bum Cream with Baobab, Baby Body Lotion, Bubble Bath, Berry Toothpaste and this one).
What’s “baobab”, you ask? It’s a fruit that has twice the antioxidants of goji fruit and six times the vitamin C of oranges. Called “The Tree of Life” it grows in the African Savannah (the fruit is also known as “monkey fruit”). Google it and you’ll recognise it, it was featured in the Disney movie The Lion King and it’s the “signature” tree on their official Disney Animal Kingdom logo.
If the rest of this Fairtrade range is anything like the Baby Wash, it’ll be lovely. A great gift for new mums and we love that packaging!
