A really random post today! You know when you have a week when you keep coming across the things you need? When they float into your life effortlessly? Here are some finds from the sublime to the more superficial – from one of the world’s noblest souls, Mooji, who has masses of videos on YouTube, to the best pair of sunglasses under a tenner you’ll find (new in at M&S and the case comes free.)
Here we go!
MOOJI – LAUGHING BUDDHAS
A young guy comes up to Mooji to ask him a question but the minute he takes the mike, he can’t remember the question. Then see what happens…! Laughing like this is free therapy.
So much kindness in his face. Jamaican spiritual teacher Mooji – www.mooji.org

M&S’s £6 SUNGLASSES
I packed my expensive sunglasses away two months ago and can I find them? Infuriating! I was in M&S the other day and found these, they also come in a tortoiseshell/amber brown colour, I think the lenses are fab for the price and there was a choice of two fabric cases, the one in the pic and a bright red and white striped one. They’re useful for carrying money in, too, if you’re out shopping for a few bits and pieces and don’t want to take your walled. The sesame and honey Halva (Greek brand) I got at Holland & Barrett, it’s yummy!

33 SURPRISING USES FOR BAKING SODA
Stifle that yawn! From rebalancing your body’s PH factor to a tooth-whitening paste, Baking Soda gets a revamp courtesy of Dr Josh Axe (whose nutritional tips I love – another recent discovery)

Last but not least, not sure why I never knew about fringed tulips but now that I’ve seen one I’m obsessed.
NEW FLIGHTS TO ESSAOUIRA
PS: As you know I’m one of Essaouira’s biggest fans and finally, after years of waiting, direct flights from London launch on 1 May. easyJet is the first airline to fly from the UK (otherwise you have to go to Marrakech or Agadir and take a 2.5 – 3hr taxi ride to Essaouira). Essaouira’s airport is 10 mins from the beach and totally stress-free so this is great news.
In my next life I’m going to learn how to kite surf with the guys at Explora Morocco, I have sat in Le Panoramique, the cafe next door for hours on a Saturday morning, watching the kite surfers do their thing as the camels wander by on the horizon and the horse riders gallop off towards the sand dunes so the south. Bliss! #happyhours
“Essa” is such a magical place but for some reason British visitors haven’t really discovered it yet. If you’ve already booked for Marrakech, I promise you it is so well worth heading west to the Atlantic to see camel-and-kite-surf Essaouira – even for a day.
The people are gentle and lovely, it’s mystical and tranquil and you won’t find a beach full of high rise hotels, just a huge, open space with rolling Atlantic waves, a fishing port and a very manageable “no pressure” medina…so go and sip a “nuss-nuss” (half coffee/half milk) and take in the the pretty silhouetted view of the medina ramparts across the bay…
I’ll do an insider’s guide to Essaouira soon with the new places that have been opening up, so look out for that if you think you’ll be heading over there and let me know what your “best Essa bits” are! x
easyJet flies from Luton to Essaouira starting 1 May, Mondays/Fridays, flight time 3.5 hrs approx.
